These Bowler Hat Lights Pay Tribute to Artist René Magritte

By: Susan Keefe (Rockstar) Dec 18, 11

Inspired by the iconic Magritte painting ‘Son of Man,’ designer Jake Phipps set to work creating these ingenious Bowler Hat Lights. A graduate of John Makespeace’s furniture design school at Parnham College, Jake Phipps transferred his love of modern art onto his craft.

These Bowler Hat Lights are crafted using felt wool bowler hats, which are then lined with anodised aluminium. These dapper light fixtures are sure to delight with surrealist aesthetics and cultivate legions of adoring fans with their irresistible novelty. As impressive as these Bowler Hat Lights are by themselves, they are even more whimsical when they flock together, creating a twinkling kind of Wonderland Lewis Carroll would appreciate. Your guests are sure to get a kick out of these wonderful pieces of glowing headgear.

Unexpectedly tempting and deliciously iconic, Jake Phipps’ Bowler Hat Lights are head and shoulders above the competition.
