Jason Miller’s ornate dish art project ‘Seconds’ features wonderful bird motifs on plates within various proportions of the surfaces. His designs are cute and have a delicate and elegant outlook to them.
Miller acutely disrupts the traditional designs on the plates or his project’s signature bird motifs on tree branches in an irregular pattern. His use of frames on the art’s surface is intriguing as much as it is visually stimulating, giving his illustrations a quality of depth. I am especially attracted to the undefined borders between the dual patterns in each plate.
Jason Miller has other dish art projects such as ‘Big Fade’ and ‘Ropes’ that are worth viewing. His ornate and classic personal style can be traced throughout his portfolio.
