President Bill Clinton Speaks on the Challenges of Global Interdependence

President Bill Clinton delivers a captivating keynote address at the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California Berkeley, during which he speaks about global citizenship and the act of turning good intentions into positive action. After leaving office, Bill Clinton founded the William J. Clinton Foundation, an NGO that focuses on strengthening the global capacity to meet the challenges of global interdependence, and addressing issues such as AIDS and global warming.

President Clinton discusses the challenges of the American economy in recent years, and explores the issue of energy sources and the varied number of jobs that are created for each $1 billion of investment. He also touches upon the Copenhagen Accord and the potential next steps, and makes it very clear that anything that any individual can do to combat climate change can make a large difference.
