Just as females can be more vicious than men, cats can be scarier than dogs and this is captured quite succinctly in the Beware of Cat Doormat. I’ve been clawed by a cat before (albeit, by accident), and it wasn’t a pleasant experience to say the least, so a little warning would have been nice.
