Almost without exception, public benches are strict fixtures that cannot be customized in any way. The Bend Bench by Attila Jonas is not built rigidly for the “every man” like most are. Instead, it offers a way for users to create their own comfortable places to repose that might be influenced by the weather.

Every bench comes in a set of four. One seat faces the opposite way as the first and directly behind it while another identical pair sits adjacent, adjoined to the first pair by an anchored post. This arrangement allows you to spin the whole seating system around in the manner of a mini marry-go-round. You have control over your view and your orientation to the sun.

Another neat feature of the Bend Bench by Attila Jonas is the capacity for the seats to flip up and over, creating a roof-like shelter from rays and rain for the chair behind.
