{SummaryTitle}

The BellJar Spring 2012 collection and catalog takes a lot of cues from surrealist Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. From the floral hair accessories to the vibrant outfits, all that is missing is her signature unibrow to complete the looks. Nevertheless, the interpretation is entirely contemporary.

The BellJar Spring 2012 lookbook was shot in San Francisco, California. The owner, Sasha Darling, says, “This spread was shot in my new Spanish-style Silverlake apartment. I’ve always had an appreciation for Frida Kahlo. She was such a strong, talented woman who endured so much, and expressed it through her art and style. BellJar’s rich patterns, and my lovely new apartment lent themselves to paying an homage to her as an idol.”

The BellJar Spring 2012 lookbook is rife with bold patterns, chunky jewelry and old world glamor.
