Steel Cage Computer Peripherals
The Baumaus Mouse is a Tribute to Design and Germaphobes

{SummaryTitle}

Germaphobes and design enthusiasts are going to love the Baumaus Mouse. This computer controller was designed by Jang Wooseok to celebrate the Bauhaus school of design in Germany. The school was open from 1913 to 1933 and was famous for bringing art of all types together.

The mouse is old school to say the least, with its tail that connects to the computer via USB. The Baumaus Mouse is angular, with its body dropping off sharply beyond the two mouse buttons. The entire mouse is encased in a steel cage which the designer says is meant to keep users from spreading germs by actually touching the mouse. Steel is easier to clean that plastic, but you have to wonder how ergonomic the Baumaus Mouse could be.
