Conductive Body Paint
‘Music Box' Dancer Creates a Tune with ‘Bare' Ink

By: Elsa Blaine (Rockstar) Jul 4, 09

Bare is an innovative body paint which allows small amounts of electricity to transfer though it to create all kinds of fun stuff. That’s my technical lingo.

The paint is non-metallic, yet conductive. It has been used to light up tiny LEDs, transmit data from person to person or even from a human to a computer. The ink, which is non-toxic and is applied directly to the skin, washes off with water.

In this video titled ‘Music Box,’ Bare was applied to a dancer who was placed in a wired up chamber. As various parts of her body touched the surfaces, music was created. It’s fascinating to watch and listen to.
