Although many of us would like to deny it, none of us are true social etiquette angels every moment of every day, especially when things go awry.

Created in collaboration with the Campus Socialite, the Awkward Universe’s Top Five Awkward Elevator Encounters are quite realistic and more than possible. It includes such situations as the “Premature Button Push: (n) The act of passing up a crowded elevator car, only to push the button again too soon, revealing the same car of people,” and the “Stranger Avoidance Elevator Mad Dash,” which needs no further explanation.
