The Avon Colortrend Contos de Fadas ad campaign has a fairy tale element. Of course, that is only natural considering that ‘contos de fadas’ means ‘fairy tale’ in Portuguese and that each new nail polish color is named after a common story component. For instance, the red shade was dubbed Maçã Envenenada, which means ‘poisoned apple.’
Conceived and executed by Grey 141, an ad agency based in São Paulo, Brazil, the Avon Colortrend Contos de Fadas ad campaign plays on this theme by shaping spilled nail polish into iconic fairy tale images such as Cinderella’s glass slipper. Comprised of five shades, the collection is fun and feminine, which the images capture beautifully. It was art directed by Rogerio Lima and creative directed by Celso Alfieri with photography by Eduardo Rodrigues and illustrations by Techno Image.
