Repurposed Technicolor Skull Art (UDPATE)
Haroshi Creates a Rainbow Skull Made from Skate Decks

By: Ariel Weber (Star) Jan 10, 13

Artist Haroshi puts his creative skills to good use with this incredibly detailed skull made from repurposed skateboard decks.

As many skaterboarders know, once their board is no longer ride-able, there is nothing much you can do with them unless you want to hang them up on your wall. Several inventive individuals have come up with ways to repurpose skateboards into such things as jewelry and sunglasses, but none have been as imaginative and intricate as artist Haroshi and his designs. From the colorful exterior down to the lifelike teeth and the added gold cap on one of its teeth, the art piece is a marvel to look at.

For those interested in seeing the self-taught Japanese artist’s extensive work, his solo show is happening at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York on January 12th.
