When a strict budget is put in place, true creativity has a chance to come about because people are forced to really think outside of the box to create something unique and interesting; enter the Apartment in Katayama. This residence is absolutely amazing with all of its intriguing qualities. Although rather minimalist, the designers created an eye-catching structure by way of a mismatched sectional design.

Designed by Mitsutomo Matsunami Architect, the Apartment in Katayama features room arrangements that mimic the pattern of the windows. Reaching seven stories high, the Apartment in Katayama boasts 10 small living spaces that are cozy, cubic and minimalist like the building’s exterior. The overall result is diverse and economically efficient.
