Curvy Cardboard Furniture
Ana Mitrano Uses Recycled Cardboard to Construct Eco-Friendly Furniture

By: Jaime Neely (Rockstar) May 25, 11
{SummaryTitle}

The architect Ana Mitrano recently created a collection of furniture complete with uniquely shaped pieces using recycled cardboard. The Argentina-based designer created a variety of pieces to furnish an entire space including a rocking chair, a series of low-rise seats, coffee tables, footrests and even some decorative pieces such as a tall tree.

Using pressed, recycled cardboard plaques, Ana Mitrano created a collection of furniture that boasts sleek, curvy designs and sustainable, eco-friendly properties. In addition to the funky designs, the recycled cardboard pieces can also carry significant amounts of weight—up to 220 pounds. Another functional feature of the collection is the smaller pieces that can be easily slid underneath larger, identical-shaped pieces. The entire series of recycled cardboard furniture is available on the architect’s website.
