The excitement for the Alpinestars x DSC Anatomy Suit is almost palpable. The Italian brand Alpinestars is known for making high-performance protective gear for both motorcycle and auto racing and its latest gear adds art to the mix. The brand’s most recent partnership is with the London-based artist David Gwyther, who goes by the name Death Spray Custom. Alpinestars chose Gwyther, an avid rider, whose work often draws inspiration from motorsports and transportation.

The collaboration has Gwyther applying his craft to a new canvas, creating this biological race suit. The idea behind the suit is the exploration of the relationship between the human body and protection. Constructed using a mixture of kangaroo and bovine leather, the suit not only shows off the body, but saves it.
