Burger King Celebrates with All You Can Eat Burgers and Fries

By: Elise Ying-Hei Ho (Star) Dec 5, 12
{SummaryTitle}

All you can eat restaurants seemed to be a North American phenomenon but it has reached the Burger King chains in Japan, which was offering all you can eat burgers and fries.

Celebrating the fifth anniversary of its return, the Burger King chains in Japan were holding all you can eat burgers and fries meals for customers for two weeks between regulated hours, though the window was a consecutive nine hours long. The event title, ‘Bi-King’ was intended to be a pun on the Japanese pronunciation of the word “Viking,” suggesting customers to eat like one. Unlike North American all you can eat restaurants, Japan’s Burger King regulated the amount of food that was distributed by having customers exchange wrappers of consumed wrappers for another burger to prevent people from wasting food.
