Alexandra Taylor Donates Part of Her Profits to 'Nothing But Nets'
By: Tiana Reid
Jan 9, 13
Alexandra Taylor has created a hybrid fashion company that throws non-profit, charity and international development work into the mix. This is done through two main campaigns: Nothing But Nets and Fashion 4 Development. Nothing But Nets is a campaign started by the United Nations Foundation that raises money in order to prevent malaria deaths, which was also one of the Millenium Development Goals (along with tackling HIV/AIDS and other diseases around the world). Similarly, Fashion 4 Development is Alexandra Taylor’s most recent commitment, and it’s also a United Nations program.
Her first collection was a women’s ready-to-wear line in 2010 and she continues to create clothing and has now expanded into men’s products and also accessory options.
