Timeworn Modern Objects Artwork
Maico Akiba's Aged Photos Depicts Modern Devices 100 Years Later

By: Kyle Towers (Star) Mar 26, 13
{SummaryTitle}

This set of aged photos by Maico Akiba captures products and devices of modern day and ages them 100 years.

It’s almost an alarming look into what it will be like when our world is a thing of the past: when the items and products we thought were profound are just moldy old trash completely useless to future generations.

Maico uses great skill in order to pull these aged photos off. They are incredibly convincing as they are covered in rust, moss and dirt. They are also worn out and banged up for good measure. It is of wonder whether he placed them underwater for an extended period to achieve this look or if he carefully augmented them by hand.
