This new foaming technology developed by Cambridge Consultants provides a better alternative to aerosol spray cans. Aerosol spray cans release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which have been linked to ozone damage and respiratory problems.
This new design swaps traditional aerosol spray cans with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles that come in a range of shapes and sizes and are a much more cost-effective option. Instead of requiring the use of gasses in bottling, this technology forms foam with compressed air or nitrogen. This not only creates a product that is better for the earth, it also has the potential to create creamier products because of the finer bubbles that are made as a result. This has huge implications for the way shaving cream, mousse-based makeup and foaming hair products are packaged.
