Adam Dobrovits Captures Colorful Pictures of Amazing Landscapes

By: Jason Soy (Rockstar) Apr 11, 12

Looking through Adam Dobrovits’ portfolio of photographs is both invigorating and demoralizing. With every visual treat viewers are exposed to, they’re simultaneously reminded of their present and less impressive surroundings. Still, Dobrovits’ work captures the world’s most wondrous locales in a manner that makes audiences think they’ve died and gone to heaven, and for that he should be praised.

A trademark of Adam Dobrovits’ photographs is their polychromatic hues. Each picture is extremely prismatic, and when paired with his unique eye for composition, it looks as though Dobrovits crafted these environments digitally the way video game makers do. He also has a penchant for capturing watery locations that reflect the environments above water, creating an effect that looks like a sideways Rorschach test. Simply put, these photographs are dreamier than most people’s dreams.
