Overlapping Home Offices
'A Intersection B' is a Collection of Quirky Codependent Items

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Dec 11, 12
{SummaryTitle}

‘A Intersection B’ demonstrates that the arrangement of stand-alone objects is not the only way to go about furnishing a room. This eccentric workstation set invites the user to think about an assortment of movables as a parts of an even more practical whole.

Designer Kim Myung Hyun includes a wooden desk, a blue stool, a translucent cubby and a black floor lamp in the eccentric series. Intriguingly, each of the items functions best when it’s been integrated with another. About 20 compositional combinations are available to the imaginative owner of the ‘A Intersection B’ collection. Most of these involve a structural strategy of leg sharing by which lights, ledges and surfaces overlap for increased stability.
