The 2012 Lavazza Calendar celebrates the famous Italian coffeemaker’s 20th anniversary of their first calendar. In order to celebrate this impressive milestone, they invited 12 photographers, each of whom had shot previous editions of the calendar, to take self-portraits, resulting in a fun and eclectic assortment of monthly images.
Each shot in the 2012 Lavazza Calendar features a theme. For instance, for February, Thierry Le Gouès was asked to created a self-portrait centered on the word ‘substance,’ while for December Ellen Von Unwerth focused on Euphoria. Other famed portraits include Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle and Mark Seliger.
The 2012 Lavazza Calendar shows just how much the coffee company has striven to stay in close connection to art. In light of this, Lavazza has opened a special exhibition at design museum Triennale di Milano displaying all of the previous editions of the calendar.
