Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact, combat sport that has found itself in mainstream sports discussions. Made popular by the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), a U.S.-based MMA promotion company, the sport combines unparalleled athleticism and mastery of hundreds of strikes, maneuvers and submissions.

Given their rising popularity, MMA fighters are reaching out to their fans--using any and all means including social media.
