Outrageous Art Shows

Paul Fryer & All Visual Arts Make Waves in 'The Age of the Marvellous'

— September 18, 2009 — Art & Design
Last year Paul Fryer made waves with his solo show at the Frieze Art Fair. This year, All Visual Arts presents Fryer along with 15 other artists for an even more outrageous meditation on life and art. ‘The Age of the Marvellous’ is a show designed to get attention. The new show coincides with London Frieze Week.

The Frieze Art Fair, aka London Frieze Week, happens every October in Regent’s Park. The Fair goes from October 14th to the 22nd, at which time All Visual Arts will use the former Holy Trinity Church to present ‘The Age of the Marvellous.’

Director Joe La Placa conceived the show for the third major exhibition by All Visual Arts. Paul Fryer is working on a new sculpture of a black Jesus; his previous work is pictured. The deer sculpture is by Wolfe Lenkiewicz, and is titled “St. Eustace.” Jonathan Wateridge’s work includes “The Architect,” a scene taken straight out of the shoot on a mystery film.
