The Akin Collection is comprised of contemporary contrasting furniture that have gorgeous sculptural silhouettes. Made up of three pieces, there is a airy blue bookcase, shimmering boxy cabinet and marble metal side table. Together, there is a lot of color and texture involved in the collection that brings attention to its main source of inspiration.
Designed by Anny Wang, an industrial designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, who recently graduated from HDK, School of Design and Craft with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, the contemporary contrasting furniture was created for her thesis project. She writes, "The ambition with the design is to attract interaction and through the experience of the collection contribute to a broader view of what relationships between objects might be."
