Designer Matthias Pliessnig completed several sculptural benches for two different projects.
Pliessing collaborated with Boston-based studio Rawn Architecture to create two large benches for Harvard Business School's newest addition, Tata Hall. The finished benches, titled 'Eurus' and 'Sinuo,' feature a fluid, sculptural design that complements the lobby interior. The second project was commissioned by Nabil Gholam Architects, who requested several benches for Beruit's Platinum Towers. They inhabit the building's impressive lobby, looking fantastic against the black Nero Marguina Marble flooring. The models that were installed are titled 'Spill II,' 'PVD' and 'Pinch.'
The benches are a focal point for any room; the eye is instantly drawn to their curvaceous form. Though large, the seating manages to be sleek and impactful.
