These window treatments designed by Chris Kabel bring the northern lights indoors like you've never seen before. Woven Night Skies mimic the Aurora Borealis night sky in that they are made out of glow in the dark yarn. Unless you live in Canada or Norway, they aren't visible in other parts of the northern hemisphere. But this Dutch designer's phenomenal use of technology begs the question if it will soon surpass even natural wonders.
The celestial curtains were created for a conference room at the Fogo Island Inn in Newfoundland, Canada, close to the arctic circle. When the conference lights are turned off, the panelled window treatments will start glowing like the famous northern lights. Kabel invented a new weaving method for Woven Night Skies, which we developed in partnership with TextielLab.
