Strachan Group Architects decided on a distinctly nautical feel for this house in New Zealand, as the owners wanted their home to reflect the beach culture where the abode is situated.
The house is made up of shed-like sections, with glass mostly used for the facade. While this may sound tacky to some, the overall result is nothing short of stunning and luxurious. At night, the house glows from the outside due to this transparent windowing put in place for most of the design.
The one thing this house does well, is reflect exactly how the Strachan Group clients want to live: in a luxurious dwelling where boat trips are commonplace and the beach is a part of everyday life for the entire family. Sounds like an excellent way to live!
