City crows are some strange birds and they show it by using any material they can get their hands on for their nests. These crows use coat hangers and other items they find lying around to create some of the funkiest nests around.
The animal kingdom is one of the coolest places because animal's are so unabashedly strange. Birds in particular seem to have some crazy tendencies that belie their typically 'flighty' nature. City crows in particular have very few resources to build their nests out of. Without trees around they have to get creative with the creation of their dwellings.
The crows will often take hangers from nearby apartments or hanging off of clothing lines to create sturdy, if not a little bit abrasive, nets.
