You can easily upcycle an unused lamp shade into a beautiful work of constellation embroidery thanks to by blogger Rachel’s easy to follow tutorial. All you’ll need is a needle, tissue paper, white thread and a blue lamp shade.
To create this celestial embroidered lamp shade, trace the constellations you want to use on a sheet of tissue paper. Then, you can attach the tissue paper to the lamp shade and use it as a guide to stitch with a needle and white thread. After you’re done, you can pull away the tissue paper to reveal a minimalist yet sophisticated starry design.
When you turn the lamp on in your room, the lamp shade will softly cast shadows of the constellations along your walls.
