Muthana Sweis Asked Netflix to Be His Prom Date, and Netflix Said Yes

Having a Netflix date seems pretty common but 17-year old Muthana Sweis attempted something unusual when he asked Netflix if it would be his junior prom date. Sweis popped the question to Netflix on Twitter, asking if it would respond with a "yes" if his tweet got to 1,000 retweets. In about a day, Sweis' goal was met and Netflix agreed to "third wheel" Sweis and his date.

The premise of 'Netflix Goes to Prom' seems like it would be totally strange, but it actually turned out way cooler than you might think. To help Sweis get to prom in style, Netflix provided him with several movies as inspiration for his suit, ride and driver. Sweis chose a sharp Bond-style suit, the car from Grease and John Travolta in Grease look-alike as the chauffeur.
