Annie Kevans Immortalizes Jean Paul Gaultier's Muses

Artist Annie Kevan has commemorated some of Jean Paul Gaultier's muses through a series of exquisite portraits. Kevan was commissioned by Thierry-Maxime Loriot for a celebratory exhibit of Gaultier's work, titled 'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk.'
As a French Haute Couture designer, Gaultier drew inspiration from other creative minds in the realms of music, fashion and film. These included talented artists such as Boy George, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss.
Speaking of his decision to enlist Kevin for this task, Loriot says, "I thought she was the best artist to create these eye-catching and delicate portraits that tell Gaultier’s story about his muses and inspirations, all great characters, these paintings translate well the humanist message in his work.”
