Billionaire Russian architect and businessman Vasily Klyukin envisioned this breathtaking design for a residential skyscraper. The design takes inspiration from the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a 2nd century BC marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike.
The unique, eye-catching tower will be wrapped in a likeness of the famous marble statue. In visual renditions of the design, the building overlooks a vast waterfront. This depiction respects the reasons for the original sculpture's creation, which marked a victorious sea battle.
"Usually towers compete in height," Klyukin says, "I wanted to compete in beauty, playing with the acts and forms. I just couldn’t bypass the goddess of beauty and victory with my attention."
Vasily Klyukin, who successfully bid to take a trip to outer space in 2014 with the Virgin Galactic Spaceship II, believes that this architectural project will contribute to the development of the local economy, attract investment and boost tourism.
