This Conceptual House Design is Adaptive and Has Gill-Like Blinds

Architecture student Gonzalo Vaíllo Martínez designed a conceptual futuristic family home. The design features a fluid structure, a skeletal staircase and blinds that open and close like gills.
The concept is designed as a modular system that can be put on any site. Martínez adds, "It can be placed anywhere and the specific conditions of each location will modify the house in one way or another." Depending on the location, the house can evolve and mutate to better suit the surroundings.
The organic, louvred blinds in the buildings skin open, and close like gills on a fish; other openings stretch, and widen to allow more or less light to fill the interior.
Martínez also said that the building may appear unrealistic, but that it could be constructed today using technologies, and materials that already exist.
