The New Medieval Armchair is a stunning seat that may bring a modern church to mind. That is because its backrest rises upwards like a graceful steeple. Sharp and pointed, it nevertheless looks slightly violent for all of its sweeping lines and serene silhouette. In fact, it can be likened to a deadly blade as well.
Designed by Massimo Farina, the New Medieval Armchair was nevertheless inspired by Roman classical renaissance and medieval architecture within Venice and Verona; in particular, the Venetian icon of the Gondola. Hence its name. It also draws inspiration from a Roman gladiator's battle shield, which gives it its hard edge.
Full of curves and angles, the New Medieval Armchair is a limited edition design that is entirely handmade in Italy. It is crafted out of dark wood.
