The streets of London will look very different come the end of 2014 when the Nissan NV200 London Taxi makes its debut. The Japanese automaker has been rolling out new taxi fleets based off of its NV200 van in cities around the world, and it recently redesigned its London taxi to look more like the city's iconic black cabs. The refreshed Nissan London taxi features rounded headlights, a new grille and new front bumper panels.
The Nissan NV200 London Taxi will seat five, sport two fold-down seats and will be wheelchair accessible. The cab will debut with a 1.6-liter gas engine, but an electric model will be available by the end of 2015. The cab was redesigned for London after people complained that it was nothing more than a NV200 painted black. Here's hoping Londoners like what Nissan has done as many of the city's black cabs will soon be off the road for emissions purposes.
