The Clothes Horse delivers an effective balance between spacing out your damp duds and assuming as small a footprint on your floor as possible. Many laundry drying racks take up a large area, becoming inconvenient obstacles in homes on a weekly basis.
Aaron Dunkerton's design can be collapsed completely to assume the dimensions of 56 centimeters by 32 centimeters by 23cm, permitting easy storage in a closet or in a cupboard. Draw it outwards, however, and the many hinged wooden slats will separate into diamond-like shapes, spacing out plenty of aluminum rods within what becomes a closed off 12-pointed star. You end up with plenty of room for your wet fabrics to breathe on the Clothes Horse, and it's easy enough to roll the contraption into position on your porch or indoors.
