The originally named Samsung Gamepad is taking mobile gaming in an awesome new direction. The Korean electronics company's Gamepad looks a lot like an Xbox controller and features nearly all of the buttons you'd expect to find on a regular game controller. It sports four buttons, an eight-way directional pad, two shoulder triggers, "start" and "select" buttons and a "play" button (more on that later). The controller is designed to be used with any smartphone running Jellybean 4.1 or later with a screen size between 4 inches and 6.3 inches.
While the Samsung Gamepad can be used with a bevy of Android smartphones, it has been optimized for use with Samsungs. The "play" button instantly opens the Samsung Mobile Console app where you can purchase and play games. The company has released its controller in Europe and is planning on bringing it to more regions soon.
