Cancer charity is not a new phenomenon, but a group of Polish designers has gotten truly innovative with the message in this new cancer ad. Animation studio Platige, created a 3D animated advertisement for Polish Cancer Fundraising that features a mechanized pig doing battle with a deadly crayfish.
In Poland, crayfish and cancer are synonyms, so the crayfish is a frightening, monstrous representation of the disease ravaging the human body. The pig robot is represents a piggy bank (shown at the end of the ad) and thus the donations that go to cancer research. The just of the ad is that donations to research will ultimately help create a cure for cancer.
This cancer ad is fast-paced and enjoyable to watch, with the fight having all the energy of a movie action sequence. The end is especially strong as the pig tears the crayfish apart form the inside after being swallowed. This cancer ad will definetely catch viewer attention.
