This Watermelon Brains concoction is a really easy Halloween recipe to prepare. This recipe simply consists of a seedless watermelon and a few carving utensils (vegetable peeler, paring knife, large knife).
The first step is skinning your melon -- don't cut too far, we want to keep the melon skin-like area. Slice the bottom of the melon so that it won't roll around. Use your knife to score 'veins' into your brain.
Next you will need to carve the brain channels. Use an image of a brain to get these fleshy parts accurate. Be sure to make them large chunks. Lastly, devour this brain as if you were a zombie.
The kids will love the look and taste of this recipe, and it's very simple to prepare.
