Nokia Takes A Dig at iPhone 5C as an Imitation of the Lumia

As Apple rolled out its two new latest devices in spectacular fashion yesterday, Nokia took special exception to the fact that one of the iPhones, the 5C, has a striking color resemblance to its Lumia models. The iPhone 5C comes in various colors, including silver, ‘space grey’ and gold, but sensing that Apple were mimicking the Lumia’s material and color choices, Nokia US sent out a tweet reading, “Thanks, #Apple ;)”.
Along with the tweet, Nokia also displayed an image of its Lumia collection with the words, “Imitation is the best form of flattery” emblazoned above the phones. In a separate tweet, Nokia UK then sent out a tweet reading: “Real Gangsters Don’t Use Gold Phones,” with a picture of the notorious school teacher-turned-drug dealer Walter White, or Heisenberg, as he has come to be better known. The Nokia US tweet “thank[ing]” Apple garnered 5,503 retweets, while the Nokia UK version surprisingly earned 33,658 retweets.
