Miss Havisham Inspired Editorial

Italian fashion photographer Lucilla Bellini re-imagines the early days of Great Expections' lead character Miss Havisham for Eclectic magazine's fall issue. The fashion editorial Lost in Love was shot at the historical Pia Casa di Lavoro Montedomini in Florence, creating the romantic yet intense mood for the tragic love story. Stylist Natasa Filimonovic creates a dreamy and fantastical look with her own creations of feathers cape and feathers skulls playing a pivotal role in the story along with a vintage lace dress and model Elia Malvestio in nineteenth century vest and trousers.

The photography and story created by Bellini is enhanced the role of light in the stark setting, giving a glimmer or hope or despair. Make-up artist Sabina Pinsone also inspired by the minimal setting, using glossy texture in nudes to enhance the romantic rawness of the young Miss Havisham,balancing out the delicate details of Filimonovic's accessories for a dark twist on the tale.
