Fashion Forward Student Looks

Featuring a tagline that reads “Your Campus is the Runway”, College Fashionista is a blog that scours various university campuses for the new styles, creative ensembles and a general fashion-forward crowd. A ‘Fashionista’ is appointed per school, who commits to the job of deciding what campus-looks are worthy for a photo and review on the site. The University of Toronto has Kelty Campbell on the case. Her May 6th , 2013 contribution features a ‘Fashionista’ in faux-leather Aritzia leggings, army-inspired jacket and booties. Campbell then goes into a discussion of the acceptability of tights as pants- and how to dress them up or down, without calling too much attention to ones’ booty. Furthermore, the college Fashionista is expanding; you can now download it as an app on your smartphone. This is a quick and easy way to check out what looks are hot and how to incorporate various trends into your wardrobe. But don’t worry- you aren’t just limited to your school; you can also search for specific items by filtering by trend or category.
