There are many careers where people are forced to put their lives on the line everyday, and with technology like the Emergency Response Smart Balls, those lives will be able to be saved.
The inherent issue with technology is that it is expensive. Many companies do not want to invest the money in research and development for their product to be destroyed in a matter of time. Therefore, humans are sent in to do the dirty work. Now, Smart Balls can change all that. The ball has a shock absorbing shell that has 6 cameras attached, this means that a full panoramic picture can be sent back giving emergency repsonders as much information as possible. The Smart Ball gets linked to either a smart phone or a tablet and then gets tossed into the danger zone. After already winning a 2013 innovation award, it is no doubt that the Smart Ball will save lives, and become the future first responder.
