Videobombing Superhero Scenes

Batman Appears in Classic Scenes in this PistolShrimps Video

— June 15, 2013 — Pop Culture
The latest video from YouTube comedy group PistolShrimps shows everyone's favorite caped crusader, Batman, videobombing classic movie scenes. The video makes fun of Batman's near-incomprehensible raspy voice and over-emotional delivery, as seen in the Christopher Nolan 'Dark Knight' franchise.

PistolShrimps's Batman appears in a wide variety of classic films, from Star Wars to When Harry Met Sally. Batman also confesses to seeing dead people, a tongue-in-cheek reference to the M. Night Shyamalan film, The Sixth Sense. Batman also appears in the classic romantic comedy Notting Hill, as Julia Roberts's character. In this scene, poor, lovesick Batman professes his love for Hugh Grant, begging Grant to love him. It's a hilarious scene, with Batman's raspy voice breaking as he gets more and more emotional and overwrought.

PistolShrimps's videos are hilarious examples of pop culture references making for great comedy products. Without the films referenced in the video, the video itself wouldn't exist. By injecting one pop culture icon into a series of other classic pop culture scenarios, PistolShrimps has created a video that every movie buff can relate to, while simultaneously causing each and every viewer to laugh themselves silly.
