This Chicken and Pig Romance Showcases the Power of Love
Ian Andrew Panganiban — June 9, 2013 — Pop Culture
This chicken and pig romance comedy showcases the struggles of addiction in a format that’s comedic and children-friendly.
Created by art students Christine Kim and Elaine Wu from Ringling College of Art and Design, the video features the burgeoning relationship between a chicken and a pig. The clip begins with the pig devouring several plates of eggs, which is the pig’s addiction, then the chicken waltzes in the diner. It’s the classic story of love triumphing over addiction, but it does make you wonder about the whole chicken and egg dynamic of which coming first.
The cross species romance pairing is odd enough, but to throw in cannibalism into the fray is a bit uncomfortable when you think about it.
