Musicians are getting more and more experimental and creative when it comes to their music videos, Young Galaxy 'Blown Minded' being one of the more interesting films to hit the web in some time. Inspired by classical oil paintings, the style of which recalls the work of Edvard Munch, each scene is a masterpiece.
Produced, directed and animated by Montreal-based visual artist Carine Khalife, the Young Galaxy 'Blown Minded' music video actually revolves around a series of paintings that has been photographed from above. Khalife writes, "I based the number of frames per second (sometimes 8 sometimes 12) on the rhythm of the music. Everything is based on the rhythm. It was important for me, especially for the abstract parts, that I was responding to the song conversationally; like a running dialogue."
