The video game characters from the world of 'Mario' have been around for years, becoming pop culture icons around the globe.
Now illustrator Sam Milham has re-imagined the characters of 'Mario' in a quirky and hilarious way- video game hipsters.
In Milham's illustrations, Mario, Luigi, and the rest of the crew have donned their skinny jeans and ironic facial hair in a satirical look at hipster culture.
With captions such as "My mushrooms are organic," and "She's in another castle... You're probably never heard of it," these illustrations are tongue-in-cheek in a fun and creative way.
I have to say, seeing Mario with a handle-bar moustache, gages in his ears and a cigarette hanging from his hand is different, but in the best of ways.
Milham has given a modern look to these familiar characters- I can't wait to see if he creates more of his sickeningly avant-garde video game hipsters.
