Multi-talented L.A. based gothic artist Queenie is the ruler over a kingdom of playfully wicked characters she calls Posiez. Her Posiez are portrayed in a series of paintings, shown exclusively at the Hyaene Gallery in Burbank California. They include a budding collection of dolls – the first of which is sold out; Posiez jewellery, available through Etsy, and a wonderfully illustrated website – Pocketfullofposiez. All the graphic art on her website is also designed by Queenie.
Her little goth girlies each have their own personalities. Rosemary bakes spider cookies, Prunella can't keep her head on straight and Delphinia has a lollipop stealing bat for a pet.
One more thing... Queenie and her boyfriend Hideousboi also have an Ustream TV show every Monday night, when the two are found, “Talking about whatever the heck we want to. We're full time happy goths that go to Disneyland regularly and make toys that you love to play with!†About the show, they warn, “leave your pretentious and grade school behavior at the door, we won't put up with it and you will be kicked.â€
