These new Nendo Fruit-Shaped Candle Stands are absolutely delicious, featuring four different versions that reference the full forms of your favorite produce. The Japanese design studio is known for having a bit of fun with wireframe sculptural works, and this is a wonderfully fresh example.
Manufactured as part of Discipline's recent collection, the candleholders comprise two slender strips of steel each. With rounded tips, the sticks were molded to form loops, crisscrossing in their middles and nearly meeting at their upturned ends. The gentle bends in the pieces emulate the contours of a pear and other edibles, possibly an orange or a tomato and a fist of garlic. They hold the wax sticks by gently pinching their bases, keeping their void, suggested volumes open.
