Pepsi is Set to Rebrand Their Bottle For the First Time Since 1997
Ryan Fowler — March 22, 2013 — Lifestyle
Pepsi is introducing new soft drink bottles that have been re-designed for the first time since 1997. Both their 16oz. and 20oz. bottles will feature a new bottle that has a unique twisted shape on the bottom half of the bottle, along with new enlarged and enhanced graphics for the labels. These new bottles are expected to be launched sometime in April 2013. A special 12oz. glass bottle is also going to be making an appearance at specific retailers around the same time.
This is a big move for Pepsi, it has been 16 years since they have changed their bottle. Major brands are constantly making changes in marketing and advertising, it is not very common that a brand makes a significant packaging change or a re-branding effort. I am sure that they know exactly what they are doing and the new bottle and design will be a major success.
